Nike Auto Trainer: Fire Red

1 Sep

If retro style set on a vulc sole is your thing, then the Nike Auto Trainer is for you. Inspired by classic Nike Training (most notably the Trainer SC II) the shoe features an aggressive design blacked out using leather and suede. A simple white midsole provides the setting for this training inspired casual kick. Red accents grace the tip of the midsole, the eyelets, and tongue branding.

The Return of the Air Max 90: `Lazer Blue`

23 Aug

Fresh on the heels of the most recent return of the “Infrared” Air Max 90 is news that the “Laser Blue” pair will be coming back as well. Originally a 1990 release and brought back once more in 2002, this OG colorway is partially responsible for the rise in popularity in Air Max classics in the 2000s. These should be coming out in the coming months.

Nike Air Max Liquid Racer

23 Aug

Retro inspiration continues to push Nike’s design team with the Nike Air Max Liquid Racer. Taking design hits from the Huarache Light and Air Max 1, the shoe features a mesh and leather upper over a Phylon midsole with a Air Max unit in the heel. The upper is mostly black with a Lemon Twist design and Ink lines. White toe and heel pieces match the midsole.
Are you diggin these…question mark.

The Return of The Infrared Air Max 90s (It’s Best Bro…)

20 Jul

In Europe the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared has re-released a few weeks ago. The US release is still coming and Primitive knows how to direct some stares towards their own release of the iconic sneaker. They got together with Justene Jaro for a shoot and also for a collaborative t-shirt. Both the sneaker and the tee will release on July 24th.

The Infrared AM90s were the shoes that got me into the sneaker game in the first place. One after the other, I started to collect sneakers and leave them dead stock (guilty, but I recognize my crime and I’m starting to break them out one at a time). Needless to say, I dared to wear my Infrareds proudly on campus, around the city and to events. I’ve never worn a pair of sneakers for this long without throwing them out, the infrareds are completely different. Now, they have stood the test of time and I think it’s perfect timing to get myself a new pair…

The pictures definitely seal the deal on my decision. Primitive really know how to market.

Air Jordan 6 Infrared Pack- Sneakerpicks

29 Jun

I finally came around to blog about sneakers.

Originally, sneakers were going to be my main topic/subject of interest for this blog space.

My first post wasn’t about sneakers though, it was about a shirt I liked. I wasn’t sure whether i could dedicate an entire site to sneakers. I didn’t own many pairs myself, so i was hesitant to blog about something that I had limited knowledge in.  As the days progressed I lost that focus that was my main drive to begin blogging in the first place.

Now, I decided to start and dedicate a segment called SneakerPicks for the site. It’s an integrated portion that will feature my favourite shoe of the week. The shoe will most likely be a newly released pair within the recent months.

This week, I chose the Air Jordan Infrared pack. In my opinion, this is a very solid pack which features one of the best Jordans that has ever come out, the VIs. I love these shoes because they’re infrared, and almost everyone loves infrared. I own  Infrared Air Max 90s, and I have worn them to death. These would be a nice replacement.

So the shoes come in a double decker box, the same concept as the “Toro Bravo” Jordan V pack (which I like more). So the boxes slide out one by one to reveal each pair enclosed in antistatic bags to prevent discolouration in the icy soles.

The pack comes with a white leather and black leather pair of Jordan VI’s. Both pairs look sick, together in a pack, they are ridiculous. Retro shoes have been very popular because they give people a second chance at copping a pair. The bad thing is that the re-releases are usually expensive, making most people who buy the shoes more prone to locking them up their boxes (I’m guilty of that).  However, this is an entirely different subject altogether.  What I meant to say was that these Jordan’s look great on feet, so wear them proudly on dry sunny days and prepare for a whirlwind of neck-breaking.
