A Bathing Ape and Daiwa announce a collaborative “A Fishing Ape”…. what?? Ummm, a pop up store selling fishing gear and clothes. The two labels are offering two pop up shop exclusive tees at the store featuring fishing themed…sigh… apparel and accessories. I’m guessing the store is more catered to artists/fashionistas that are into fishing?? Alright I give up.
I don’t get it. What’s a Fishing Ape? Nigo probably doesn’t even like fishing… Yep I just Wikipedia’ed it, nothing about how he really likes fishing. So why does this collaboration exist? I think it’s all about the Benjamins, or in Japan- it’s all about the Natsume Sōseki’s.
The store opens July 24 and runs until August 8, 2010.
